Welcome to MotorLine!

My name is Dustin Roberts, and I am passionate about cars.

Few inventions have had such a massive impact on our lives as the automobile. What started out as a toy for the rich has become, for better or worse, a mere tool for the masses. However, while the average American citizen views his car as a status symbol, an investment, maybe a liability, or merely a means to an end, I see much more. I see the passion of the artist, who lovingly carves out the carefully flowing lines that make the automobile a sculpture in motion; the genius of the engineer who tunes the engine, chassis and suspension to work together in perfect harmony; the determination of the race car driver who pushes to get every last hundredth of a second out of a qualifying lap. And I see people like me, the truly passionate ones, for whom the artists, the engineers, the race car drivers, and everyone else exist for. This blog is for you.

I am not creating this blog with the intent of competing with the Autoblogs and Jalopniks of the Internet. I'm a big fan of these sites, and any attempt for me to try to mirror them would probably come off as a cheap rip-off. Instead, this blog is going to focus on the one thing that I know I can genuinely provide: my thoughts, my opinions, and my personal experiences. If I find or do something cool, or have a thought or opinion to share about cars in general, you'll find a post about it. It's my hope and ultimate goal that you'll find something that sparks your interest as this blog continues to grow.

Welcome to MotorLine, and thanks for reading.

Keep the pedal down and the shiny-side up.
